As I write this post, the future me is reflecting on the past me.
I remember at the start of this challenge, I was taking 4 to 5 trades a day. I wanted to write about each trade I took, not just simply post a lot of pictures. Therefore, many of these posts are published well after the event.
Looking at the trade below, I see many mistakes that my previous self made, and I can understand why this was a breakeven trade.
Let’s talk about it.
Trading In Areas of Random
As the title suggests, this is what I think when I look at this trade.
I clearly noticed that we were in a range and that the price had begun to stagger in a downward move.
I was trying to capitalise on the downward momentum and therefore went short after the two bullish candles, thinking that anyone going long would have been trapped.
As I mentioned in Trade 8, breakeven wasn’t in my plan. But this trade moved so sideways after my entry that I just didn’t feel comfortable with it.
One of the things I had been doing was moving to breakeven when the price moved to +3 points. I didn’t do that here, which caused this trade to break even.
Admittedly, I never went back to check how this trade would have gone if I had let it play out. But in hindsight, I wouldn’t have taken this trade. It’s in the middle of nowhere and just isn’t in line with my trap setup.

Current Trades =
4 Wins
3 Losses
2 Break Even
91 to go.
