When I started this challenge, I said I wouldn’t break even and that I would accept either a win or a loss.

But when the time came, I couldn’t help myself. On this occasion, I am glad I took the break even. However, I would have been happier with just a few more ticks.

As you can see, this trade was nearly a take-profit, but sometimes the market doesn’t cooperate.

I wanted to close, but I couldn’t

For this trade, I followed up on the Trade 7 win after the price gave us a pullback just after my Trade 7 take profit.

After the big downward move prior to this entry, I felt some traders had gotten trapped at the EMA and might have been expecting a second move down. Therefore, I placed a stop order and decided to go long.

My take profit was 24 ticks, and I felt it was in a good area, just one tick above the double bar high.

Unfortunately, the price couldn’t reach my target. I noticed the buying pressure was weakening, and while I wanted to close the trade, I couldn’t.

Too many times I’ve closed my position early only for it to move in the direction I wanted. I have therefore taken this temptation away by pretending it doesn’t exist.

The images below show how close I was before hitting breakeven.

Current Trades =

4 Wins

3 Losses

1 Break Even

Total +47 ticks.
